Gregory Peck's Longtime L.A. Estate Newly Listed For $25M

New, 8 comments

Sprawling on "the most sought after street in all of Los Angeles," this "French chateau-style" (per the brokerbabble) manse was once the longtime residence of actor—he played an utterly beautiful, bespectacled Atticus Finch in the original To Kill a MockingbirdGregory Peck. The 1932 estate, which measures just about 9,000 square feet, sits on 1.3 acres on Mapleton Drive in L.A.'s Holmby Hills, a mansion-lined enclave bragging residents like Kim and Kanye and Casey Kasem. Peck, who died in 2003, and his wife Veronique, who died last year, moved in "some 30 years ago," writes Zillow, and the pair's reps (seem to) still own it. The property boasts a breakfast room, two maid's rooms, "park-like grounds," and French doors like whoa. The ask? $24.995M.
