Big Trouble in Little Park City

The judge presiding over the lawsuit between Park City Mountain Resort and terrain owner Talisker has allowed PCMR to broaden the case and claim that Talisker denied its right to first refusal of operation of The Canyons. Whatever the merits of the case, it's hard to see how PCMR, who is complaining about having to pay more than their current measly lease of $155,000 a year for the 2,800 acres of ski terrain that they operate on, would be able to afford leasing The Canyons, which Vail Resorts is paying $25 million a year to Talisker for.
