Rocky Mountains Welcomed September Snow on Sunday

It might only be the second day of fall, but fresh snow fell across the west over the weekend. Last week we reported snow in Jackson Hole, Big Sky, and Aspen. On Sunday, Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley received four inches of fluffy goodness and Heavenly Mountain Resort showed a blanket of white in photos. Although most of us can't wait for the flakes to fly, competitors in the Lake Tahoe Ironman on Sunday might have preferred for the warm weather to last just a bit longer. And don't worry, Tahoe isn't the only area seeing love from Ullr. Whistler received their first snow of the season too. It's snowing now in Colorado and with cooler temperatures in the forecast this week, A-Basin has their snow guns in place and ready to roll. Drink those pumpkin lattes now because winter will be here before you know it.
