East Falmouth Beach House That Once Asked $5.6M Sells, Finally, for $3.6M

Earlier this month, on September 6 to be exact, an East Falmouth beach house that had been lingering on the market for over two years finally found a buyer. First listed in March 2011 for $5,600,000, the custom-designed shingle-style on Waquoit Bay ended up taking three major meetings with the pricechopper. By May of this year, the 1.68 acre property was asking $3,995,000 and less than four months later, a buyer paid $3,600,000 for the Waquoit Landing Road spread. Along with a really, really big heated salt water swimming pool (96'x20'!), the buyer is getting a guest house, their own sandy beach and a ready-for-Mother Nature (and/or the Big Bad Wolf) 4,440 square foot four bedroom, five bath main house "built to Code 7 standards using steel beams, steel straps, and high impact windows and doors."
