Work will begin this week to install 10 kilowatts' worth of solar panels on the Town Hall terminal of the Town Gondola in Telluride. The gondola, which is free and connects the town of Telluride to Mountain Village and the ski resort, is already calculated to save 45 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually from lowered automobile use, and the Green Gondola Project has installed LED lighting, more efficient heating, and now solar panels to reduce the gondola's energy use.
