The Canyons in Park City may be the newest member of the uber-chic Vail Resorts lineup, but over-the-top luxury is nothing new in the resort's fanciest gated community, the Colony. Looking to drop over $100,000 a week on vacation lodging alone? The high-end property management company Resorts West has a slew of mansions that make this diamond-encrusted Whistler vacation package look like a drop in the bucket. One of their best listings is "Another World," and if this house wasn't so cool Curbed Ski would probably be lamenting the cheesy name. But with 30,000 square feet, 12 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, and an envious ski-in/ski-out location, Another World has us charmed. At $16,000 per night (with a 7-night minimum), the home sits at the base of Curbed Ski's two favorite chairlifts at the Canyons: the Ninety-Nine 90 Express and the Peak 5 chairlift. Powder hounds will love this location, because while the rest of the mountain waits in lift lines at the base, guests of Another World can walk just a few feet to the lift. Waiting out a wind delay? Just sip your coffee on the couch until you see the chairlift start moving.
Aside from one of the best ski locations in Park City, the estate also has dining room seating for over 20 people, a theater, a eucalyptus steam room, and a game room complete with shuffleboard and arcade basketball hoops. Snowboard aficionados and history buffs will love the vintage snowboard decks decorating the walls and the ski locker room looks nice enough to sleep in. No manse is complete without an outdoor fireplace and Another World also comes with a heated underground 6-car parking garage. Not sure why you'd ever want to leave, but Resorts West throws in an SUV so you can cruise the 8 miles into Park City's historic downtown. And if you only get from A to B by heli (lucky you!), Another World has its own helicopter landing area. Now that's what we'd call bespoke.
