One of Wyoming's Most Expensive Listings Offers $55 M Worth of Wildlife and History

Just a few days ago, a property near Jackson Hole, Wyoming previously listed at $65 million hit the market with a new price of $55 million. Zillow says it's Wyoming's most expensive listing and a massive hunk of prime real estate is at stake: 389 acres divided into 11 separately deeded 35-40 acre parcels. Named Fish Creek Ranch, this family-owned ranch is Wyoming history at its best, with two barns that date back to 1906. The ranch was the original homestead of the Simpson family, who gave the town of Jackson its name in the late 19th-century. While some ski town properties lay claim to a private herd of elk, Fish Creek Ranch features more animals than architecture. It borders the Teton National Forest on one side and contains a two-mile stretch of Fish Creek that makes for pristine private fly-fishing. There's at least a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on the property but not much detail on the living quarters. The listing photos do show enough wildlife to satisfy animal lovers a few times over. Potential "legacy ranch buyers" can expect moose, elk, white tail deer, and birds, all just 10 miles from Jackson Hole.
