A downtown condo in Telluride listed at $18,000,000 is the most expensive Telluride penthouse and one of priciest in the state. The four bedroom, four bathroom property has 6,235 square feet and takes up the entire top floor of the building. Designed by New York architect Alan Wanzenberg and with a price tag to match at almost $3,000 per square foot, the unit has all new construction and a particularly alluring 822 square foot outdoor patio. The location in Telluride is pretty spectacular, centrally located to restaurants and chairlifts. It's awesome, to be sure, but we have a bit of sticker shock at $18 million. It seems Telluride has entered the ritzy penthouse monopoly game, trying to outpace Aspen's most expensive penthouse and coming close to this outrageous $19 million Solaris listing in Vail. In other news, it appears the 1% is thriving.
