Calling all billionaires, a Vancouver Island ski resort could be yours! Mount Washington Alpine Resort, the island's only commercial ski area, is on the market for an undisclosed amount. The sale is a private one (dang!) and CBRE Canada, a commercial real estate company, looks to be brokering potential deals. It's likely that any serious investors will need to consider resort upgrades to make the local ski area profitable; lack of snowfall (and snowmaking equipment) meant that Mount Washington didn't open this year until after New Year's. Normally, Mount Washington receives an average of 450 inches annually, and the resort has 5 chairlifts, 1,657 vertical feet, and over 1,700 acres of terrain. So who's buying?
