Dingbat Watch

Over at Architizer, a loving look at the often disparaged Dingbat, the formulaic shoebox-style apartment building, "essentially an inhabitable parking structure," that flourished in L.A. in the '50s and early '60s: "Like starlets striving to be noticed, many announce their names in whimsical midcentury script—the Camelot, the Wilshire, and, hilariously, the Crapi."
