Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation, which has built 100 homes in NOLA's Katrina-ravaged Lower 9th Ward, is "considering legal action" against the producer of a wood product used in construction that has "begun rotting." TimberSIL wood was used to build decks and stairs in 30 homes. "It was unable to withstand moisture, which obviously is a big problem in New Orleans," said a spokeswoman. The material is guaranteed for 40 years. [New Orleans Advocate via Archinect]
