Venus Williams Braces For Loss on Newly Listed L.A. Home

New, 6 comments

Looks like tennis star Venus Williams could have a bit of bad real estate luck with the L.A. pad she's owned since September 2005. While she originally purchased the Hollywood Hills property for $1.9M, the tennis champ and interior designer just listed the very same three-bedroom house for $1.799M, setting herself up for a loss of more than $100K. The midcentury post-and-beam home was built in 1955, and looks rather light-filled and airy—boasting high ceilings, a 1,528-square-foot open layout, and some panoramic canyon views. There's also a modest pool and backyard area, and what the brokerbabble calls "great entertainment flow." And while the home's petite kitchen and reasonably small bedrooms might not be super extravagant—Williams shares a much larger home with her sister in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.—there's certainly doesn't seem to be anything offensive enough to warrant such a meager play. But by all means, do have a look:
