Arapahoe Basin Ski Area announced today that Montezuma Bowl will open late-morning on Friday, January 10. As part of A-Basin's 2007-2008 expansion, Montezuma Bowl is located on the backside of the mountain and has terrain from intermediate to expert. The bowl is opening over a month earlier than last year, proving that Colorado's current snowpack is definitely better than last year's below-average season. According to Open Snow, A-Basin should get about 4-7 inches on Thursday, so there's sure to be some nice soft turns on Montezuma's opening day. Don't forget the bacon Bloody Mary at the newly renovated 6th Alley Bar.
