Killington Resort, one of the largest ski areas in the east, has debuted a new mountain-top building called the Peak Lodge. The 15,000 square foot lodge accommodates 300 guests, new food for that mid-ski meal, and epic views of Vermont's Green, White, and Adirondack Mountains. There's also a new full service bar where you can waste time when it's too cold to ski. Although not near as high as Colorado lodges, the Peak Lodge tops out at 4,100 feet, making it Vermont's highest structure. And it's green; the structure is powered through Killington's Cow Power program which uses electricity converted from cow manure. The grand opening kicks off tomorrow, January 9.
