Clark Gable's Handsome Pink Palm Springs Home Asks $2.2M

New, 4 comments

The delightfully pink former Palm Springs home of Turner Classic superhunk Clark Gable and comedic actress Carole Lombard has been put up for sale. The Spanish Colonial dwelling is currently owned by producer Joel Douglas, son of actor Kirk Douglas and brother of actor Michael Douglas, who last listed it for sale in 2009 for $1,999,000, and is now seeking $2,195,000. Built in 1925 and recently renovated, it comes on .6 acres with a tree-lined circular drive, a pool, a detached pool house, a "guest casita," and a gravely adorable kitchen.

As an added bonus, the estate comes fully furnished, with a bunch of antique and modern pieces that go pretty well with the very classic interior. (Those creamy crown moldings! Those colorful tiles! All that wrought iron! *Brings fingertips to lips*: Mwah.) Also included: a pool table custom made for Kirk Douglas. The place last sold in 2003, for $965K.
