Truro's Most Expensive Listing Returns, Raises Ask to $4.5M

Rather amusingly, this Truro spread was listed yesterday for a whopping $45,000,000, a price tag that would have made this one of the most expensive homes in all of Massachusetts. Alas, the error was quickly corrected and now, after a mega-pricechop of $40,500,000, 22 Pilgrim's Path is asking $4,500,000. We wrote about the Outer Cape shingle-style when it first hit the market last November looking for $3,995,000. That blockbuster ask made the 4BR, 3.5BA the priciest listing town and while we thought the 4,621-square-footer looked rather nice, a Curbed commenter disagreed, "Poor Truro. They paved Paradise and put up a parking lot." Now, with a new broker and a handful of mostly dreary listing photos (you can see the previous, much better crop of photos here), we might have to agree.

Yup, those listing photos do nothing for this beachfront abode. To refresh, the 12-room home sits on 1.05 acres overlooking Cape Cod Bay and includes a detached boathouse, mooring, and a private beach. For whatever reason, even though the place was built in 2010, the listing once again refers to the "architect appointed" digs as "new construction." Regardless, 22 Pilgrim's Path is now more expensive than its rivals - both of which are family compounds - on Kill Devil Road and the Old King's Highway. So there's that.
