In an apartment in Dijon, France, artist Benedetto Bufalino has transformed the empty interiors into a very impractical (but very arty) indoor tennis court, complete with artificial turf, service lines, and net across the doorway. While the "gallery" is certainly visually compelling, the installation is not meant to be simply gazed upon; visitors are encouraged to pick up a racket and play a match with an opponent there. Nothing makes a good ol' game of racketsport more enjoyable then the added fun of bumping into radiators and fireplace mantels, and the good thing about the net being in a very slim bottleneck on the court is that tennis becomes an accidental game of racketball. Hope they insured the windows.
