In Detroit, a Decent 16-Unit Apartment Building Wants $600K

New, 7 comments

A McMansion for cars or a whole apartment building? That is now a decision folks with a disposable $600K can indeed make. Detroit's Van Dyke Apartments, located in an increasingly hip neighborhood (proof: it's got its own very own independent coffee shop, organic grocer, and record store), is on the market for $600K. Built in 1924, the building contains eight one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom units, which, as listing photos indicate, come with surprisingly polished woodwork and ample sunlight.
