Iggy Azalea, 'Fancy' Australian-born rapper and perpetual fast lane inhabitant, has bought a mansion in Tarzana, California from Disney princess Selena Gomez for $3.45M. The 24-year-old purchased a six-bedroom, eight-bathroom mock-Mediterranean mansion on .83 acres this September with her boyfriend of a year, Nick Young, a Lakers player who also goes by Swaggy P. Iggy and Swaggy—henceforth to be known as Swiggy—have the keys to a gated compound encompassing a basketball court, barbecue pit, spa, and butler's pantry.
Ms. Gomez bought the place in 2011, extensively renovated it, and, perhaps taking a page from the Ellen Degeneres playbook, hulked it back on the market for $1.3M more than she paid.
The single-story sprawl was purchased by a trust in Mr. Young's mother's name. There is a wrap-around balcony, a guesthouse, and a kidney-shaped pool perfect for lounging around in crop tops and the like. "Me and Iggy just bought a house," the NBA star recently told DuJour magazine, about their under-the-radar transaction that went through a few months back. "We fight over the TV remote because she watches TLC and the Weather Channel all night."
"It's really not so bad at all," Curbed LA admits about the house. "However, it is definitely not the 'Prettiest House in the Valley,' as the listing claimed." Co-sign. Listing photos bring to mind a mid-range catalog shoot rather than full-on fanciness, but Ms. Azalea's claim to this has always remained open to interpretation.
