Island 'Cottage' Seeks Sea Captain, Must Love Prairie Glass

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Yarmouth, Maine
Price: $3,400,000
The Skinny: Listed last January and kept steady at $3.4M, this five-bedroom "cottage" sits on 3 acres on the rocky and forested southern tip of Maine's Cousins Island, which Google Maps labels Spruce Point. The Prairie Glass in a few of the doors and transom windows may strike some as a little Arts and Crafts-y for a shingle-covered New England home built in 2005, but it's also kinda fun, and between the exposed beams and the variegated wood flooring the interior is pretty pleasant. The slope of the ceiling is worked around kind of awkwardly in at least one of the bedrooms, but the master is huge, and comes with its own fireplace. The prominent exterior feature of this "boater's dream" is a wide stone patio facing out over the water, where there's a dock and float.
