Famous, beautiful people Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen want to rent out their pricey NYC pied-à-terre, looking for a wealthy somebody to pay $40,000 a month to live in the brand new condo the couple bought a year ago. Then, the Patriots QB and supermodel dropped $14M on a full floor in NYC's One Madison development, which at the time was very much under construction. Curbed NY can spin a yarn about the saga that is One Madison—highlights from which are here—but suffice it to say it's a story wrought with lawsuits, foreclosure, and, ahem, "pants-dropping" amenities. (It's also the very same place where newspaper magnate Rupert Murdoch paid $57.25M for a penthouse.)
Anyway, the three-bedroom slice of the 47th floor comes with interiors by Danish designer Thomas Juul-Hansen and (*fans self*) "river-to-river plus park views."
The reasons for ditching the place are, of course, a mystery—though one could suppose that the the Brady-Bündchens (phrased as such because it sounds like "Brady Bunch," FYI) is satisfied enough with their other expensive property. After all, construction on their Richard Landry-designed palace in Massachusetts is coming along nicely.
Alas, these interiors are not images, and, in fact, are not even renderings for the exact property the duo have picked out, but the Post reports that the interiors of Bündchen and Brady's newest digs boast the same "solid quarter-sawn white oak plank floors and oversized doors" that the rest of the Juul-Hansen designed units have. Oh, and the pair are no strangers to NYC; Brady and Bündchen have been on the lookout for an NYC pad since April. Before buying this place, the two maintained separate residences: Brady's sold in 2011 for $17.5M, while Bündchen's went for $13.95M in 2009.
