At London's Battersea, Bjarke Ingels Lands First U.K. Project

Prolific architect Bjarke Ingels, the guy responsible for up-and-coming zootopias, Lego museums, and waste-plant-cum-ski-slopes, has pinned down his first project in the United Kingdom: a public square in the $12.6B (billion with a B) redevelopment of south London's Battersea Power Station. Details on plans for Ingels' Malaysia Square are scant, though Dezeen says the commission is "understood to be one of the most important schemes in the 17-hectare masterplan," calling it the "'front-door' to the development.
