Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Pound Ridge, New York
Price: $1,495,000
The Skinny: As usual, the rampant practice of describing something as "Wrightean" just because it was designed by an architect who studied under Frank Lloyd Wright is pretty far off with this rehabbed 1956 dwelling by David Henken. It's tempting to let that slide, though, given the sheer gorgeousness of this midcentury home, which sits on two acres in Pound Ridge, New York, and was built on a rock outcropping that juts into the living room.

The list of details here that will "excite any purist" include "mitered glass," "seamless mahogany ceilings," and a total of three "striking masonry fireplaces." As one might expect, the "inviting chefs kitchen" and "luxury bath appointments" are much more modern. In the communal space, "dramatic walls of glass" look out over a pool and a koi pond. The discounted asking price is $1,495,000.
