Renovations

For his first hotel project, designer/developer Ari Heckman returned to his old stomping grounds in Providence, Rhode Island, where he ended up buying the "notorious" neighborhood strip club and pay-by-the-hour flophouse. Despite the fact that, as he told Curbed, "a set designer could not have designed a better crack house," the place reopened after a 2.5-year renovation as a stylish 52-room boutique hotel called The Dean. Curbed National has the story, plus the amazing before and after photos. [Curbed National]
