Far more haunting than other recent drone tours, which have flown through sights like the new Apple campus and a notoriously lewd L.A. mansion, the latest drone footage from freelance photographer Danny Cooke captures the ruins of Pripyat, Ukraine, a city that was completed evacuated after the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Cooke writes, "There was something serene, yet highly disturbing about this place. Time has stood still and there are memories of past happenings floating around us." Those memories, as seen in the video, manifest in a rotting amusement park, vegetation growing in indiscriminate directions, and much more.
