Decades After Closing, 1930s L.A. Movie Palace Gets a Close-Up

Curbed LA has photos of the long-shuttered Warner Huntington Park movie palace, one of a chain of Very Fancy cinemas designed in the early '30s by architect B. Marcus Priteca. The lavish Art Deco theater is now up for rent and "could be tragically gutted," but luckily local photographer Hunter Kerhart has managed to get inside and get (perhaps one last look) inside the palace, showcasing its incredible 1930s detailing, including elaborate ceiling metalwork and Deco paintings on the wall.
