In this heartwarming, gorgeously-animated short film called "Home Sweet Home," a suburban house trapped in a terribly blighted neighborhood decides to shed its "for sale" sign once and for all and set off on a gutsy journey to see the world.
Completed last year by Pierre Clenet, Alejandro Diaz, Romain Mazevet and Stéphane Paccolat, the film also features original music by Valentin Lafort. On the project's Facebook page, the filmmakers noted that much of the visual inspiration for the film actually came from photographer Kevin Bauman's work on abandoned houses in Detroit. Wouldn't it be nice if all houses, abandoned or not, could have a little eat-pray-love adventure of its own?
