Ski Biz

It's the peak of holiday skiing season, and Vail Resorts just increased the single-day, walk-up lift ticket price to $159 at Vail and Beaver Creek. Breckenridge isn't far behind at $145, while Aspen Skiing Co. has held its prices at $129. Of course, buying a lift ticket the day you ski is kind of like buying a plane ticket the day you fly. It's much cheaper to purchase online, in advance, or with multi-day packages. [Aspen Daily News]
