Meet Lower Manhattan's Oddest, Wood-Covered Studio for Sale

The strangest studio for sale in New York right now may be this two-room, 400-square-foot walk-up belonging to Stuart Ross, a sculptor, photographer, documentary subject, and self-professed dumpster diver. That last credential helps explain the tiny dwelling's various eccentricities, which include ceilings and walls made of "antique Redwood from a discarded Greenwich Village rooftop water tower" and a bathroom covered in "reclaimed wood, stone and tile." And yes, there's also a swing. Ross, who had previously admitted that the place has no stove and gets no direct sun is seeking an ambitious $1.3M.
