Lena Dunham may be the target of escalating controversies over her new memoir, but the Girls star is enjoying a serious real estate power-up. Spotted checking out a $4.45 Williamsburg penthouse last summer, the 28-year-old multi-hyphenate has now moved into into a $4.8M condo with her musician boyfriend Jack Antonoff, the Daily Mail reports. A major upgrade from the one-bedroom Brooklyn Heights apartment she bought for $500K in 2012, Dunham's new digs is still in the same neighborhood but offers four bedrooms and its very own elevator.
According to the Daily Mail, the property is part of a five-unit "boutique condo building" that just topped out last year. The original listing for said property describes a unit that has "the living space of a typical brownstone, but on a single level," "contemporary open floor plans", "modern amenities," and an "automated parking system."
We still have no idea what Dunham is doing with the interior, but if her old apartment's quirky furnishings (i.e. hot-pink Hello Kitty microwave, her father's genitalia-inspired artwork) are any sign, the new place probably won't look anything like the bland modern decor shown in these early renderings. And courtesy of an interview Antonoff gave to Vulture this summer, we know that the couple's new pad will definitely include a studio for Antonoff, an office for Dunham, and "hopefully a Victorian doghouse for their rescue dog, Lamby."
