Park City Manse Goes Crazy With Color, But Does it Work?

New, 1 comment

Mountain decor can be a bit terrifying, what with all the bears and antlers and such, but increasingly designers are foregoing the faux fur and embracing a new mountain chic. Take this newly listed, 7 bed/10 bath manse in Park City going for $8,500,000. Located in the exclusive Colony community with ski-in/ski-out access to the Canyons, the 11,334 square-foot home takes color to a new level. The living room is a melange of patterns and bright hues and the rest of the house has everything from Moroccan-inspired rugs to a blue bedroom that looks like a modern take on French country. We're not sold on all the mixing and matching, but we have to admit the kid's bunk room looks pretty awesome (foosball anyone?). At least the bathrooms and kitchen are a bit more understated, and we're digging the ski equipment room (complete with helmet stand!). What do you think Curbediverse, is this an upgrade or a downgrade from traditional mountain design? Let us know in the comments or drop us a line.
