Dubai-based practice OP-EN just proposed some seriously lofty plans to cover the Burj Khalifa in a lightweight and semi-transparent fabric, as part of a very large-scale art installation. Wrapped in this so-called "Exo-Burj" dress, the the tallest man-made structure could apparently further "highlight the immenseness of its architectural scale" and augment itself as a symbol of "defiance of gravity."
