Did Leo DiCaprio Drop $5.23M on a '63 Palm Springs Pad?

A few days ago this self-proclaimed "legendary tennis estate" and "blueprint for modern desert living" sold for $5.23M. According to The Desert Sun, the listing agents and sellers signed confidentiality agreements that cast the new owner in shadow—which of course means said owner is most definitely Leonardo DiCaprio, or at least that's what the Sun and The Real Estalker are reporting. Hey, if the super handsome/rich/Oscar-nominated actor, who recently unloaded his Malibu estate for $17.35M, did lay down $5.23M for this six-bedroom, well, it would have been an exercise in utterly good taste: the 7,022-square-foot, single-story sprawl was designed in 1963 by Palm Springs modernist Donald Wexler for 1940s singer/actor Dinah Shore. What's more, the photos of the place are stunning—though don't take our word for it.
