Managing to eschew any and all color without tumbling into spooky, goth territory, this ultra-stylish home in Lyon, France was designed by the French firm Maison Hand, and featured in a recent Domaine spread. The interiors rely on the same charcoal paint color throughout the entire space, which creates a rather eye-popping contrast against the white exposed-beam ceilings and the black-and-white framed art.
Save for the lacquered black cabinetry, built-in shelves, and dining room table, most of the furnishing is done in neutral, lighter shades—with plenty of oatmeal-colored seating and white fur rugs. The most colorful piece in the entire home, actually, is a midnight blue couch that's just a shade away from black. Domaine has a full gallery of the luxe, darkly glamorous pad, right this way.
