Behold the Pie-in-the-Sky Proposal for the U.S.' Tallest Tower

In an attempt to hawk a block-long development site near Manhattan's Hudson Yards, brokerage firm Massey Knakal has released renderings for the "potential future tallest tower in the U.S.," 'potential' being the key ingredient in that qualifier salad. The plan for the tower that could, but in all likelihood will probably never rise along the Hudson River was cooked up by MJM + A Architects, and it was even christened Hudson Spire, though for now, this 1,800-foot superscraper remains purely in the realm of fantasy. But as Curbed NY points out, "is it fun to think about One World Trade Center's record-setting height getting trumped already? Sorta."
