Well-Lit, Stunning Telluride Mansion Chops $1.4M Off Price Tag

It takes more than a good hot tub to impress the jaded Curbed Ski staff, but this 6 bedroom, 7 bath Telluride home in Mountain Village knocked our socks off. And good news for buyers: it's also $1,405,000 cheaper after a March 6 price chop, with the new price coming in at a cool $10,495,000. We're thinking the buyers are ready to sell this flashy ski retreat, because the original listing price was $12.9M back in June 2013. The listing description doesn't provide many specifics (they're too busy going on about how it's a "timeless and prized possession"), but the photos show a modern mountain design with lots of wood accents, stone detailing, and some of the best interior lighting we've seen in a while. The main house is connected by a long, covered foot bridge over the garage to a guest house, and together they make up over 9,400 square feet of living space. There are several fireplaces, a private elevator (not pictured), and we're loving the built in bunk beds for when you're sister-in-law brings her four irritating kids. Even the wine cellar is a fresh take on the classic grotto and the long ski locker hallway comes equipped with enough boot and glove dryers to dry out a small army. Throw in multiple outdoor fireplaces and ceiling heaters for year-round use and you have a ski-in/ski-out listing that looks mighty tempting. Now, who's buying?
