Awesome Job Alert: Get Paid to Play In Vail All Summer

Vail Resorts may not be without controversy (or lawsuits), but they are killing it in ski town marketing this year and other mountain communities should take note. After launching the wildly successful Epic Race that took season pass holders on an around-the-world race to all 26 of their ski areas, Vail Resorts has now partnered with the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council for a new contest called "America's Best Summer Job." Winners will be paid $1,000 weekly to live the high life in Vail and the set up looks pretty sweet.

Per the description, "You'll stay in a different luxury property each week, participate in events such as the GoPro Mountain Games and KEEN Vail Kids Adventure Race, zipline down Vail Mountain, review restaurants throughout Lionshead and Vail Village, as well as host happy hour events, work in the Welcome Centers and more." But before you think this is a vacation, note that the winner will need to blog, tweet, and Facebook their adventures. But heck, getting paid $4,000 per month to play in one of ski country's priciest towns? That might just count as American's best summer job. Well played, Vail. More details, here.
