The Times reports that in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y., "which last year was dubbed 'Hipsturbia'" due to "its influx of Brooklynites," one couple has commissioned a compound with an estimated construction bill of $40M. Designed by starchitect Steven Holl with a pentagon-shaped master bedroom, the 30,000-square-foot home is described by one neighbor as "totally out of character with what Hastings is all about."
