No matter what their socioeconomic status, one thing is true about Americans: they love a good hotel room. What "good" means varies wildly, of course, with some envisioning a palace in the sky, and others envisioning a room that looks like Fred Flintstone's house. To which we say "vive la difference" and also "it's all good". In the spirit of egalitarianism on which this country was founded, here now is a cross-section of amazing American hotel rooms, from low style to high style, tacky to refined, and all points in between.
