Tour Mad Man Jon Hamm's Wee NYC Penthouse

New, 3 comments

Mad Men star Jon Hamm, the occasionally bearded soccer-dad-vibing sex icon who came to fame through the world's lust-hate relationship with fictional ad exec Don Draper, is nearly done renovating the New York City penthouse he picked up last April for $2.45M. With, god willing, the photo-heavy shelter magazine christening of the place coming sometime in the near future, the unstoppable Real Estalker takes the occasion of this news to point out a few things worth noting about the Upper West Side aerie. At the top of a building designed by Italian-American proto-starchitect Rosario Candela, whose creations have become some of the city's most coveted, the place comes in rather small for someone with Hamm's star power, at an estimated 1,000 square feet. (Pressing question: could Hamm be a secret tiny home fan?) The decorative fate of chez Hamm is still up in the air—maybe he'll take a cue from Don Draper's swanky apartment, or from Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant's pretty stunning Los Feliz digs—but that's what wild guesses are for. To that end, the rest of the pre-renovation photos are below:
