Modern Lake Cabin Surprises With Secret Room & Sleek Lines

About 30 minutes from Washington's Stevens Pass Ski Resort, this lakeside mountain retreat designed by DeForest Architects is a sleek and updated version of the classic ski cabin. There's plenty of wood and natural materials, but instead of antlers and bear rugs, designers used contemporary prints and modern furniture. It's a bit more understated than this contemporary Martis Camp stunner in Tahoe, but we're loving the expansive windows, huge fireplace, and innovative sleeping loft to house guests. There's even a bookshelf that opens to reveal a secret bedroom.
