Celebrate Cochon 555 Denver with Bacon Bourbon Cocktail

On March 9th, the sixth annual Cochon 555 traveling porkapalooza competition will throw down at the Ritz-Carlton in Denver and Curbed Ski will be there to judge and report on the carnage. In honor of the event, we once again turned to Anthony Bohlinger, bar director at Aspen's Chefs Club by FOOD & WINE (located at the St. Regis Aspen, one of our 38 Essential Hotels) to come up with an appropriate cocktail. Bohlinger created the Old Dirty Piggy, a swinish spin on the classic Old Fashioned: house-infused bacon bourbon, Rothman & Winter Orchard Apricot Liqueur, brandied cherries, orange slices, Angostura bitters, mole bitters, and a wee bit of Three Little Figs Quince Honey Rosemary preserves, served on the rocks. Cheers to mass pork consumption; check in with Curbed on Monday for all the gory details.
