In the latest issue of Vanity Fair, architecture critic Paul Goldberger takes on the four supertall, super skinny skyscrapers rising just south of Central Park, calling the One57 building a "tall refugee from Las Vegas." He goes on to compare the selection of top-name architects like Richard Meier and Robert A.M. Stern for these projects to the "way some women will only spend $3,000 or $4,000 on a dress if it has a famous designer's name on it." [Vanity Fair via Curbed NY]
