Curbed NY has a primer on the creations of Rafael Guastavino, Sr., and his son Rafael Guastavino, Jr., two members of a Spanish family of builders who anointed over 300 spaces in New York City with their vaulted tile ceiling technique. According to the co-curator of a recent exhibit on their work, "generations of Americans have loved these spaces without necessarily knowing that one family was behind all of them." [Curbed NY]
