This traditional log home in Sun Valley just sold for $1.9 million, slightly less than its original ask of $2.2 million. Curbed Ski can sometimes be a little harsh on the traditional log cabin/rustic mountain look (it's all the antlers and bears), but this 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath timber wood home makes the cabin aesthetic look good. At 5,894 square feet it's not as large and flashy as some, but the simple construction, open floor plan, and lack of cheesy mountain decor are a breath of fresh air. The house is situated on almost 5 acres and whether you're in the living room or bedrooms, the views are awesome. Sure, some of the kitchen and bathroom tile work look a little dated, but overall this home has us dreaming of comfy winter nights sipping cocoa by the wood-burning fireplace (it's amazing how rare those are these days).
