Save $6 M on Over-the-Top, Poorly Decorated Snowmass Estate

A massive 200 acre estate in Snowmass, Colorado, underwent another price chop in early April, making this pricey 7 bedroom, 10 bath home almost $7 million cheaper. Now asking $24,750,000, the listing has been on and off the market since 2008 when it was first listed for a whopping $36,000,000. Located just a few minutes from the controversial half-constructed Snowmass Base village, the home boasts 12,836 square feet and some seriously over-the-top decorating. Like the overwrought wallpaper in Vail's most expensive listing, this home struggles with patterned floral drapes, window coverings that clash with fabric-covered chairs, a plethora of ostentatious chandeliers, and bad rugs in every room. Canopy beds and ruffles everywhere make it hard to see the million dollar views and unoffensive structural elements of this slightly dated home. The indoor pool area looks pleasant enough (the wet bar helps), and we could sit for days on the patio looking at the surrounding mountains. So please, someone call an interior decorator and we bet this house could be sold, stat.
