Shipping Container Co. Turns its Product into Coolest HQ Ever

Serving as quite the effective advertisement, this sleek HQ built for shipping container company Royal Wolf just might be the coolest office ever to be made entirely from cargo containers. While other workplaces might feature the odd conference room or waiting area, the company's Melbourne, Australia headquarters are formed entirely out of 20 and 40-foot containers, arranged by Australian firm Room11 to form one big rectangle with four courtyards inside. Right in the middle of the space, two containers sit vertically—creating a pair of massive skylights.

Inside the winding building, the walls and floors are a uniform white, with floor-to-ceiling glass on the walls facing the courtyard, so as to "create a spacious light filled work environment," according to the design firm. Take a closer look at the entire space, right this way.
