Big news out of Colorado: Crested Butte Mountain Resort just announced that the ski area will reopen for skiing this Saturday and Sunday. The unprecedented move comes weeks after the mountain's original April 6 closing date, so what gives? Apparently there is still so much snow the resort just felt bad keeping the lifts turned off. Not everything will be open, of course, as CBMR plans to run only the Silver Queen lift from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day with access to 155 acres of intermediate and advanced terrain. But tickets will be cheap, at only $20 for ages 13 and older, $10 for children ages 7 to 12, and free for ages 6 and under. This year's season passes will also be honored. So get out there, Curbediverse, and just a reminder, Crested Butte also has killer pizza and rum (hint, hint).
