Feed The Addiction: You Need This New Shell Jacket From Toren

Like our sister sites over at Racked, Curbed Ski has entered the gear review game. Each week we'll be bringing you an "Editor's Pick," a go-to ski item that we just can't live without. Have an item you want us to check out? Drop us a line, here.

Jacket junkies beware, there's a new technical apparel brand in town and their debut jacket needs to be in your closet, ASAP. Based in New York City but with a strong outdoor pedigree, Toren was created in 2013 to produce technical apparel at reasonable prices. We've been trying out their first (and right now only) product: the Fundamental Shell, a lightweight alpine jacket with 10,000/10,000 Waterproof/Breathable fabric, taped seams, a helmet compatible hood, underarm zippers, and plenty of pockets. And after wearing the jacket both to ski in Aspen and weather a downpour in Denver, we're converts of Toren's slim fit and durable fabric choices. Currently in limited production for men and women but rolling out more jackets in the fall, head over here for more details and to add this beauty to your jacket collection.
