Drawn by Toronto-based artist Mike Ellis, this stylish set of illustrated interiors makes up the five rooms in a piece called Rooms For Rent. Each designed to resemble apartments belonging to friends of the artist, the cheerful, slightly retro sketches are installed in a 3D Dollhouse mounted to a wall, with peephole-like openings and tiny interior LED tracks to illuminate the drawings. Unlit and on their own, the rooms are just as lovely, combining intricate decor details—like houseplants and printed wallpaper—with impressive architectural accuracy. See all five, this way.
